2021 August 14 - Island Universe, Cosmic Sand

In today's image, we see a number of objects at widely varying distances from us. The meteor is a small grain of material from comet Swift-Tuttle burning up in Earth's atmosphere. The Andromeda galaxy is a large object - as big as our own Milky Way galaxy, 2.5 million light years away.
